KABLI
Sunset beach villages
Kabli, Jaagupi, Lemme and Treimani are no strangers to any Estonian beach vacation friend. The fact that the sun shines the most and rains the least on the entire west coast of the Soviet Union was calculated by Soviet scientists. In this way, the legendary Vzmorje, a resting place for merit astronauts and scientists, was established in Jaagupi. Nor did Valentina Tereshkova, the first female cosmonaut, despise the beach sand here. He had just picked up his jam tunes from the Jaagup pine tree.
150 years ago, these same small fishing villages boasted their shipbuilding traditions. The first long distance sailing boats in Estonia - Julie and Markus - were built on the beaches of Häädemeeste and Kabli. As the sailors straightened at the time as mushrooms after the rain, it was decided to establish the first Estonian maritime training school in Heinaste (now Ainaži) with the Latvians. The Ainaži Maritime Museum is now housed there.
In addition to its hectic history, this place is a true treat for nature lovers. Who doesn't know the Kabli Bird Ringing Center or Luitemaa and Nigula Nature Reserve. Kolada offers many hiking trails and exhibitions at RMK Kabli Nature Center .
